DIY Wedding Planning Stress Relief

A quick post (since I haven’t posted since Friday)…

I am trying to anticipate some of the “small things” that will be creeping up on us as we get more and more towards our wedding (which is really only a little over 6 months away now!).  Here are a few examples of things you can start doing early that will alleviate you from having to do them later on, when the pressure’s really on!  (Then you can also just enjoy all the fun stuff that’s about the happen – engagement party, showers, bachelor/ette party, adding personal details, marriage counseling!  When you’re stressed with monotonous details, these things just don’t seem as fun.)

  • Photography “Necessary Shots” list – Most photographers will ask for a list of the posed, formal pictures you want, as well as certain moments you want captured, and people’s names you want pictures with before you leave the reception.
  • Wedding Party Gifts
  • Wedding Bands
  • Wedding Gift for your Future Husband/Wife
  • “Must Play” and “Do Not Play” Lists for DJ or Band – Start putting this together early!  There’s a lot of music out there and if you’re like me, it’s a very important part of the day!  I don’t want to be rushed in creating that list.
  • Passports (If you need them for your honeymoon)

Just a few ideas that you can start working on (no timeline on any of these, but most are pretty standard).

Happy Tuesday!
